Main Ingredients

1/2 cup fresh watermelon, cubed

1/4 cup agave nectar

1 lime, juiced

1/2 cup tequila

ginger beer (to top off cocktail)

1Fill two short cocktail glasses with ice. Set aside

2Add the watermelon, agave nectar, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker. Break down with a wooden muddler or spoon until it looks like pulp.

3Fill shaker with ice and pour in the tequila. Cover tightly with lid and shake vigorously.

4Strain into the prepared cocktail glasses, dividing between the two.

5Top off each glass with ginger beer. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Additional Notes

Copper mugs are the traditional container for mule drinks. Use them if you have them! If you would like, garnish each cocktail with a watermelon wedge, lime slice, and mint.
