Warm Autumn Spiced Pear Sauce

10 medium apples or pears, skinned and diced
3 Large carrots, skinned and diced
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high for 5-6 hours until soft.
2Puree in batches in a food processor or blender. I used an immersion blender right in the crock pot.
3Store in refrigerator for a week or freeze up to 3 months.
