Two Berry Smoothie

This smoothie, like most smoothies that come out of our Farm Kitchen, is the result of blending up whatever we have on hand. Today it it was local strawberries, dewberries, mulberries, and black raspberries picked from our garden, and yogurt we got free from the creamery down the road. This smoothie can be turned into lunch or a mid-day snack by adding nuts, seeds, or leafy greens.

Main Ingredients

1 cup quartered organic or foraged strawberries

1/4 cup organic almond milk

1 cup organic vanilla yogurt

1/2 cup organic or foraged dark berries (think blueberries, blackberries, dewberries, mulberries, or black raspberries)

2 tbsp local honey

1 heaping tbsp organic hemp seeds

1 tsp maca powder

ice to taste


1Place the cut strawberries in the bottom of your high speed blender.

2Add the almond milk next.

3Then, add the yogurt and the dark berries.

4Finally, add the honey, hemp seeds, Maca powder, and ice.

5Blend all together on high for approximately 30 seconds or until the yogurt and ice is fully mixed through.

6Adjust for desired consistency if needed.

7Enjoy outside in the sunshine, if possible, and slurp up with a glass straw if you have one!

Additional Notes

Note: Add a bit of water if the smoothie is too thick or a few more ice cubes if the smoothie is too thin. Frozen strawberries can be used in lieu of ice.
