Main Ingredients

2 pounds fresh tuna steak

2 tbsp. olive oil, plus extra for brushing

2 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp wasabi powder

6 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice (grated zest from 2 limes)

2 tsp low sodium soy sauce

8 dashes hot sauce (optional)

1 ripe avocado (diced)

8 cherry tomatoes (cut in half)

1/4 cup minced scallions (white and green parts)

1/4 cup red onion (diced)

Preparation

1Brush tuna steaks with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper

2Place tuna steaks in a very hot sautéing pan

3Sautee tuna steaks for 1 minute each side

4Set aside on a platter

5In a small bowl combine olive oil, salt, pepper, lim zest, wasabi, lime juice, soy sauce and hot sauce.

6Add avocado to the vinaigrette

7Cut the tuna in chucks and place in a large bowl.

8Add scallions, cherry tomatoes, and red onion, mix well

9Pour the vinaigrette mixture over the tuna and carefully mix

10Serve over a bed of mixed greens
