Tumeric & Ginger Lemonade
Tumeric is a excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Just think of it as nature's little Advil. Ginger is excellent for digestion and overall good health.

4 cups water
1 teaspoon tumeric powder (or a 3 inch strip of fresh turmeric rood, peeled
1 teaspoon powdered ginger ( or a 4 inch strip of fresh ginger root, peeled)
to taste organic honey or dark - liquid stevia
to taste juice of one full lemon
1Put water into a small pot and bring to a boil on the stove. Make sure that the water has come to a full boil.
2Add turmeric and ginger to the boiling water and reduce to simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. This will extract the beneficial compounds from the turmeric and ginger.
3Remove the pot from the stove. Strain the tea into a cup through a fine-mesh strainer to filter out the particles of turmeric and ginger.
4Add sweetener and lemon to taste.
If using powdered Turmeric or Ginger, use certified organic. However, fresh is always best and both of these roots can easily be found in your local natural grocery store.
