1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
2 drops of thyme essential oil
3 thyme leaves
lemon zest (optional)
1Combine butter, essential oil, and optional lemon zest together in a Ziploc bag.
2Close the bag and “mush” the butter all around to mix in essential oil throughout. Taste test if needed!
3On a large piece of parchment paper, spoon out the butter and form a loose log.
4Place the three thyme leaves on sides of the log to create a beautiful dish.
5Wrap the log tightly in the parchment paper and twist the ends, just like a large Tootsie roll.
6Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the butter to harden.
