Main Ingredients

2 cups cranberry juice

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1/2 cup tequila blanco

3 oz orange juice

2 oz lime juice

orange wedges (optional, for garnish)

Preparation

1To Make the Cranberry Simple Syrup: Put the cranberry juice into a medium pan & heat over medium high heat until reduced by half and you have 2 cups of liquid. Add the sugar and continue simmering until it is completely combined. Remove from heat and cool completely.

2To Make the Cocktail: Fill 2 glasses with ice and set aside.Combine the tequila, lime juice, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until cold. Pour the mixture into the prepared glasses. Using a small pitcher or a spoon, drizzle the cranberry simple syrup around the inside edge of the glasses; it should fall to the bottom of the glass. Using a knife or straw, mix the cranberry simple syrup lightly at the bottom of the glass.

3Serve and enjoy!

Additional Notes

If you don't want to make simlpe syrup, use grenadine instead! Garnish each glass with an orange wedge and drizzle additional cranberry simple syrup over the top of the cocktail right before serving. Decorate your rims with salt and sugar for extra pretty serving!
