Main Ingredients

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion (sliced)

1 tbsp minced garlic

2 lbs brats (chopped)

16 oz shredded cheddar

8 oz cream cheese (cubed)

10 eggs

1 tbsp yellow mustard

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Preparation

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2Slice onion and grill with garlic and butter on medium-high skillet

3Grate cheese and separate in half

4"Chop," or slice brats into smaller, bite-sized chunks

5Add olive oil and brat chunks to skillet with garlic and onions

6While brats & onions are cooking, mix 8 ounces of cheddar cheese, heavy whipping cream, eggs and mustard together in a medium-sized mixing bowl

7Once egg mixture is well-combined, cut brick of cream cheese into small squares and stir into egg mixture

8Remove skillet from heat once brats are cooked through (by now, onions should be caramelized as well) and drain excess liquid

9Spread brats & onions on bottom of 9x13" casserole dish

10Pour egg mixture evenly over the brats & onions

11Top with remaining 8 ounces of cheddar cheese

12Bake 40-50 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden

13Allow to cool about 5 minutes, cut and serve!
