Main Ingredients

2 - 8.5 oz boxes of cornbread mix

2/3 cup canned creamed corn

1 - 4 oz can diced green chilies

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tbs honey

Preparation

1Add the cornbread mix, creamed corned, milk, diced green chilies to a medium-size bowl and stir until all ingredients are just incorporated. You don't want to over mix the batter. Pour half of the batter into a 6x10 baking dish. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top and pour the remaining batter over top.

2Place in a preheated 400-degree oven for 30-35 minutes. Halfway through drizzle honey over the top. Stick with toothpick or butter knife and when comes out clean. Remove from oven. Drizzle with more honey and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Additional Notes

Feel free to substitute jack, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese. Make it spicier by using hot diced green chilies or diced jalapeno.
