Savory Protein Sprinkle
At 15 g of protein for 2 Tbs (25 if you add the spirulina), this plant-based condiment is a protein powerhouse. Plus hemp hearts are basically an edible electrolyte supplement. Sprinkle it on everything in sight! Add cinnamon and shredded coconut if you're serving it over breakfast, maybe on my Paleo Trail Porridge.

1 cup toasted pumpkin seeds
1 cup hemp hearts
1/2 - 3/4 cup chia seeds
1 tsp sea salt (i like redmond real salt)
1 optional: tbs spirulina
1Pulse toasted pumpkin seeds in a food processor until they are about the size of the hemp hearts or a little chunkier.
2Mix with the other ingredients and sprinkle liberally wherever you need crunch and protein.
The only reason you may not want to add spirulina is for presentation...its intense green color is great in a green smoothie, but may turn your butternut risotto a sickly gray color. Still tastes great and offers incredible nutrition, but you may not want to serve it to your in-laws.
