Main Ingredients

1 cup fresh lime juice (eight to ten limes)

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup ice


triple - sec/orange liquor

soda water

sea salt

additional limes for garnish


1Bring 1/2 cup of water to boil, add 1 cup of sugar and stir to dissolve. Remove from heat, and add 1/2 cup of ice to cool.

2Squeeze 1 cup juice from limes.

3Combine fresh lime juice and 1 cup of cooled simple syrup mixture.

4In a shaker or mason jar, add ice. Add 3 ounces of margarita mixture, 1.5 oz tequila, .5 oz triple sec, and shake.

5Using a lime wedge, dampen the edge of your glass and dip in crushed sea salt.

6Add ice to your glass and pour shaken margarita over ice, top with soda water to taste.
