Rose Petal Sugar
This is a delightful way to add a hint of rose to drinks, shortbreads, or desserts. Be sure to use untreated/sprayed rose petals, preferably found seaside in beautiful Nova Scotia.

2 cups white sugar
1 cup rose petals, white tips removed
1Layer sugar and rose petals in a glass jar, starting with a layer of sugar on the bottom. Close and store in a cool dark place. After a couple of weeks, the sugar will be infused with rose scent and flavour.
Enjoy sprinkled on desserts, as a rim sugar, added to tea or iced tea, or in shortbread - there are endless options!
