Main Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 shallot, minced

1/2 tbsp unsalted butter or coconut oil

1 1/2 c fat free chicken or vegetable broth (low sodium)

1 tsp gluten free worcestershire sauce

1 tsp dijon mustard, optional

1/8 tsp xanthan gum

salt and pepper

2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley, optional


1Heat up a large skillet with the butter on low heat. Add the shallots and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

2Add the chicken broth and turn up the heat to medium-low. Add the Worcestershire sauce, dijon (if using), and xanthan gum.

3Simmer on medium for about 5-7 minutes, whisking every other minute until it's slightly thickened.

4Remove from the heat and add the parsley, if using. Serve immediately.
