Pumpkin Spice Latte With Cinnamon Essential Oil
It's that time of year that the air starts to get crisper, so I decided to try out another drink recipe using essential oils - this time a warm beverage. This was my first time trying out the Starbucks Via Instant Pumpkin Spice Latte and I was pleasantly surprised! It has a subtle nutty & spiced flavour and is very simple to make (just add water).
In order to incorporate the essential oil into this recipe, I created a decadent topping of whipped cream and added 1 drop of cinnamon essential oil that was combined with a teaspoon of honey as the carrier oil.
This drink was simple to execute and had a comforting aroma - perfect for an afternoon sipping session!

1 sachet starbucks via instant pumpkin spice latte
100 ml whipping cream
250 ml hot water
1 teaspoon honey
1 drop cinnamon bark essential oil
1Whip the cream with an electric mixture until soft peaks form.
2Combine the honey and cinnamon essential oil until combined. Gently fold into whipped cream.
3Pour the hot water and sachet in a mug of your choosing. Stir until dissolved.
4Place several dollops of whipped cream on top of latte mixture.
5Optional: Sprinkle cinnamon powder on top for a fun look.
