Pear And Pecan Salad With Blue Cheese

Toast the pecans under a moderate broiler to bring out the flavor (I use my toaster oven for this) Cut the pears into even slices, leaving the skin intact and discarding the cores. Wash and dry the salad greens. Add the pears, together with the toasted pecans, then toss with the dressing. Distribute among four large plates and season with salt and pepper. Serve with crusty bread.

2 tablespoons of blue cheese dressing
