Paleo Greek Meatballs With Tzatziki Sauce
No need to head to Athens to enjoy these juicy, flavorful meatballs! Not only are they bursting with flavors of the Mediterranean- lemon, oregano, red onion- they are super easy to make. Dipped in or topped with a cool and creamy Tzakiki sauce, these meatballs are delicious served over zucchini noodles, riced cauliflower, or mixed greens.

for the meatballs:
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground lamb
1/4 cup finely diced red onion
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons greek seasoning salt*
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried dill
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/4 optional cup crumbled feta
for the tzatziki sauce:
1 large avocado
1/2 large cucumber, peeled and seeded
1/4 cup plain coconut yogurt, plain greek yogurt, or more avocado
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 tablespoon fresh mint, basil, or both
1 teaspoon greek seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
1Preheat the oven to 350.
2In a medium mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the meatballs. Mix with your hands until combined. Roll out into 1-inch balls and arrange on an aluminum-lined, rimmed sheet pan.
3Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
4Meanwhile, prepare Tzaitziki sauce. In a high-powered blender or food processor, toss in all of the listed ingredients. Pulse until creamy and cucumber is smooth.
5Serve over cauliflower rice, white rice, mixed greens, or whatever you like!
