On those days when Im craving Chinese food but I want to control whats in it, I make my own. Its very simple to do and the taste is just as delicious. I cook my rice first, then my chicken. I purchased an already made orange chicken sauce thats MSG free and used that to toss my chicken in. At the end I topped it with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions and Voila....Orange Chicken!!

2 cups cooked jasmine rice
0 z of lee kum kee panda brand sauce for orange chicken
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
2 tsp chopped green onions
1 pound of chicken breast cubed
2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of anise seeds
2 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp braggs liquid amino's or low sodium soy sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of corn starch
2 cups of veg oil for frying
1-In a large bowl, mix chicken breast, salt pepper, anise, coriander and liquid amino’s together. Mix in beaten egg, set aside.
2-Grab another bowl and mix the flour and corn starch together
3-Toss the Seasoned chicken with the flour mixture and set aside
4-In a wok, sauce pan, fryer, etc. Heat oil on medium high heat.
5-Fry up the breaded chicken breast until golden brown, about 10-15 mins
6-In a large skillet on medium high heat, heat the Orange Chicken sauce for about a minute.
7-Toss in the cooked breaded chicken breast with the sauce. Let come together in the pan for about a minute.
8-Pour over rice, top with toasted sesame seeds and green onions
