Who doesn't love homemade croutons for that crunch on your favorite green salad?

1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cups bread cubes, from about 1/2 a baguette or any other crusty loaf
1Preheat oven to 350°F.
2Combine the oregano, salt, garlic powder, and pepper in a small bowl and stir to combine.
3Place the bread cubes and oil in a medium bowl and toss to combine. Set aside to soak for a few minutes, then add the oregano mixture and toss to coat. Spread the croutons onto a rimmed baking sheet in an even layer.
4Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
