Maple Candied Almonds

1/2 cup maple syrup
1 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cup almonds, whole
1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a non stick mat and set aside.
2In a medium saucepan, heat maple syrup, butter and cinnamon over medium heat. When the mixture begins to simmer, mix in the almonds and return to a boil. Continue to heat over medium heat until the mixture thickens, about four minutes.
3Transfer almonds and remaining liquid to the baking sheet. Use a rubber spatula to flatten the almonds into a single layer and place in the oven. Bake for 17 minutes, flipping the almonds halfway through. Let cool before enjoying.
