Layered Vegetable Salad
A light refreshing salad that is great for all occasions. Add your own favorite items to make it different each time. This recipe came from my Aunt Pat.

1 head lettuce, shredded
1 cup celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 medium sweet onion (vidalia or your favorite red)
1 16oz package frozen peas
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup bacos
1Layer in order given in large bowl. Let stand 8 hours or overnight. Toss before serving.
2Optional items to add: chicken pieces, sunflower seeds, radishes, sweet red pepper, crushed red pepper flakes
