Lavender Lemonade & Whiskey

6 tbsp dried lavender (should be able to find this at your local health food store!)
3 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 cup lemon juice
4 cups whiskey (optional)
16 - 32 oz club soda
1In a small sauce pan, bring three cups of water and 6 tbsp dried lavender to a rolling boil. The lavender will start floating on the top but will slowly sink absorb into the water as it heads up. (Bonus: your kitchen will smell amazing!)
2Add 2 cups sugar and stir until dissolved.
3Remove from burner and let sit for at least 30 minutes to cool.
4Strain the lavender syrup into a large pitcher, discard dried lavender pieces.
5Stir in 1 cup of lemon juice and 4 cups of whiskey.
6Add club soda right before serving. Start with 16 oz and add more to lighten taste.
