Main Ingredients

whatever bones you have on hand (chicken, ham, beef, knuckles, anything)

water to cover them in your crockpot or stock pot on the stove

any of the following:

1 - 2 lemons, halved

1 - 2 onions, any color, halved

1 jalapeno pepper

1 - 2 bunches garlic, top cut off

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

handful carrots

few stalks of celery

1 - 2 bay leaves

ginger

mushrooms

Preparation

3Stir well and strain into a large pitcher

4Pour into mason jars for storing (I used 6 quart-sized jars)

5Allow to cool

6Scoop fat off top of jars

7Freeze for up to 5 months or refrigerate if you'll be using it within a few days
