Homemade Hummus #glutenfree
Forget buying store-bought hummus, make your own super delicious dip and have it with every meal (ok maybe not for breakfast).

2 15oz cans of organic garbanzo beans (i. e. chickpeas)
1 - 2 lemons
1 spoonful of minced garlic
1/2 cup of tahini
1/4 cup of evoo (extra virgin olive oil)
1 - 2 tablespoon organic cumin (season to taste preference)
a pinch of salt
1In a food processor (or blender) combine the following ingredients:
2The entire contents of the garbanzo bean cans (including the water), a spoonful of garlic, the juice of 1-2 lemons, a generous heaping of tahini spread, (optional) 1/4 cup of EVOO, a pinch of salt, and a substantial amount of cumin for a bold taste and therapeutic value.
3Pulse in the food processor for 1-2 minutes until mixture is creamy and smooth. Adjust consistency and flavor by adding more or lemon, more or less EVOO, seasoning, and room temperature water.
4Enjoy alone or with my favorite tabouli-Mediterranean inspired "salad".
