Main Ingredients

10 - 15 chicken tenders (or 4 large chicken breasts cut into tenders)

2 cups buttermilk

louisiana hot sauce ®

all-purpose flour


freshly ground black pepper

cayenne pepper

garlic powder

canola oil


1Place chicken in shallow bowl and cover with buttermilk and a few dashes of hot sauce. Cover and let sit in refrigerator for at least half an hour.

2Fill Dutch oven with about two inches of canola oil. Bring to medium-high temperature on stovetop.

3In large bowl, combine 2 cups all-purpose flour with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

4Dredge chicken pieces in flour mixture and add, a few at a time, to Dutch oven.

5Add lid and let fry for about 6-8 minutes. Turn once, and allow to finish frying until golden brown.

6Continue process in batches, placing fried chicken on paper towel-lined platter until ready to serve.
