A popular Persian, Indian and Pakistani drink dessert to chill with!

2 cups of milk of choice or rose milk or
1 - 1 1/2 tbsp rose jam or
strawberry smoothie ( five strawberries and milk blended with some honey)
3 - 4 tbsp chia or basil seeds
some roasted vermicelli (from the indian isle or an indian store)
chopped cashews, slivered almonds, raisins (optional)
1/2 - 1 cup chopped fruit(s) of choice
vegan/dairy free ice cream (optional)
1First, soak your chia/basil seeds in water for 30 minutes.
2In the mean time, cook your vermicelli by boiling in water (just like you would pasta or noodles).
3If you are making a smoothie, do so. Otherwise, add your rose preserve into the milk of your choice and let it cool if not already cool.
4Chop up fruits. Take a glass or jar of any kind that will hold in all the ingredients. A good tip here is to initially add in just a few fruits to prevent milk spilling out of the glass you layer your ingredients in.
5I layered the falooda into 1.5 sets of layers as in the picture… the first being the chia seeds and then the smoothie, vermicelli, apples, vermicelli, smoothie banana and grapes and nuts.
6You could do them in one single layer or play around a little too but do it delicately to get the layers to look separate yet slightly blended in.
7Serve chilled with a straw and spoon. Enjoy with your loved ones or friends.
Don't add your smoothie AND rose milk. Use either of the two.
