Main Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 egg 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger or 1 tbs dried ginger

2 tsp baking soda

1 cup white sugar

3/4 cup butter

1/4 cup molasses

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt


1Preheat oven to 350 F.

2Cream together butter, egg and white sugar. Add grated ginger.

3Add molasses and mix well.

4Add flour, baking soda,salt and cinnamon. Mix dough well.

5Roll dough into balls and then roll in white sugar.

6Place on a cookie sheet.

7Bake 10-12 minutes.
