Main Ingredients

3/4 cup almond flour

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

1 large egg, room temp

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon molasses

1/4 cup coconut sugar

3 tablespoons coconut milk

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup chocolate chips and a teaspoon of coconut oil. add crushed candy canes for topping

Preparation

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Whisk together flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the coconut oil, egg, and vanilla. Stir in molasses and coconut sugar. Alternate between adding the flour mixture and the milk, stirring until incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips.

3Coat donut pan with coconut oil, and fill each mold with batter.

4Bake for 10-12 mins.

5For the glaze, melt dark chocolate chips with coconut oil until completely melted (30 seconds in the microwave at a time). Dip donuts into glaze and then top with crushed candy cane!
