From Scratch: Chocolate Sauce

To make chocolate sauce, combine dry ingredients in a small sauce pan. Add boiling water to sauce pan, then whisk over medium heat to thicken. Once at desired thickness remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Ready for immediate use or store in glass jar to be heated for later use. Can be store up to two week in refrigerator.

3/4 cup organic cocoa powder

1/2 cup+ raw sugar

dash of salt

1 cup boiling water

1 tsp. 100% vanilla extract

Additional Notes

Variations & Tips: -1/2 Cup sugar makes a dark chocolate sauce.

  • Add sugar and cream for a milk chocolate sauce. If adding cream shelf life is only 1 week.
