Fresh Or Frozen Blueberry Muffins

2 cups organic unbleached all purpose flour
2 teaspoons aluminum free baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup salted butter, room temperature softened
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 free range egg
1 tsp natural vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup organic milk
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
12 muffin liners
1Preheat oven to 375 degrees farenheit, line muffin tins with paper liners.
2In a medium bowl combine butter and sugar with a mixer. Add egg and beat until fluffy. Add extracts and milk and stir to combine well.
3On top of wet ingredients add flour, baking powder and salt. Using mixer beat until wet and dry ingredients are not lumpy.
4Add blueberries, stir with a soft spatula gently until blueberries are dispersed through batter. Batter will be thick.
5Divide batter into 12 muffins, sprinkle with a bit of granulated sugar.
6Bake for 20 minutes or until tops are brown and spring back when touched.
