Easy Mac 'n Cheese
This mac 'n cheese is nothing new or unique, but rather a sampling of various inspirations, made to my own family's liking. I like to keep it simple and easy while dirtying the least amount of dishes as possible!

3 cups uncooked macaroni noodles
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 and 1/2 cups whole milk
4 and 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can condensed cheddar soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp dry mustard
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 pan. I prefer to grease with real butter!
2Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add your noodles to the pot of boiling water, and then turn off the burner. Let the noodles sit in the hot water for 5 minutes before draining. This is a great trick I've learned to maintain the integrity of the noodle. They will continue cooking in the cheese mixture later, so this way, they won't get mushy!
3Drain the noodles and let them sit and wait in your colander.
4In the same pot, melt butter over medium/low heat.
5Stir in the milk until mixed.
6Stir in the cheese until completely melted.
7Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until mixed thoroughly.
8Gently stir your noodles into the pot of cheese mixture, until completely mixed, and pour into prepared dish.
9Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until a little golden brown on top.
10Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
