Main Ingredients

1 cup chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons coconut oil

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

coarse sea salt, for topping

Preparation

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

2In a small bowl, combine chickpeas with oil, spices, and salt. Stir to coat and spread in a single layer in pan. Roast for about 30 minutes, until light brown and crispy. Allow to cool to room temperature.

3Melt chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth. Stir in roasted chickpeas and return to parchment lined baking sheet. Freeze until solid, about an hour.

4Store in freezer or refrigerator.
