1 can of chickpeas (aprox. 2 cups)

2 - 3 garlic cloves

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp tahini paste

4 tbsp water

2 tsp lemon juice

1/4 tsp himalayan salt

1/2 tsp cumin

Optional

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp onion power

Preparation

1Open a can of chickpeas, strain the access liquid and rinse

2Put the rinsed and strained chickpeas into a food processor

3Peel and diced garlic cloves then add to food processor

4Add all other ingredients to food processor

5Blend until desired consistency

6Enjoy!

Additional Notes

I love hummus because you can get creative with the recipes! Some days I add smoked paprika for a little extra punch of flavour. Other days I add basil pesto and spinach for a green hummus. Another one of my favourites is roasted red pepper hummus by adding some of the roasted red peppers pre-roasted during meal prep.
