Main Ingredients

4 hoagie buns, split

1/2 cup of hummus, any flavor

4 slices of cheddar cheese

4 slices of swiss cheese

1 medium cucumber, cut into 16 slices

1 medium tomato, cut into four slices

4 thin slices of red onion, optional

Preparation

1Spread bun bottoms with hummus; layer with cheeses, cucumber, tomato and onion. Cover with bun tops. Serve immediately.

Additional Notes

You can use your favorite cheese in place of the cheeses I use in this recipe. Pepper jack would be really delicious! You can also substitute grainy mustard for the hummus as well.
