Cauliflower Pizza With Burrata, Prosciutto & Hot Honey

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Remove all packaging from crust and place upside down on a sheet pan (so what was on the top in the package is now on the bottom.) Bake for 10-12 minutes, turn over, and bake another 10-12 minutes. Using a baking rack on a sheet pan will make it even crispier. While the crust is pre-baking, add the crushed tomatoes and salt into a food processor and pulse 2-3 tim. . .

Main Ingredients

1 trader joe’s cauliflower pizza crust; another brand will work fine too

1/2 cup canned san marzano tomatoes, crushed

pinch of salt

burrata or mozzarella cheese, two medium size balls, sliced

4 - 6 thinly sliced pieces of prosciutto

handful of fresh basil leaves

3 tablespoons of honey

2 - 3 teaspoons of red pepper flakes

Preparation

1Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Remove all packaging from crust and place upside down on a sheet pan (so what was on the top in the package is now on the bottom.) Bake for 10-12 minutes, turn over, and bake another 10-12 minutes. Using a baking rack on a sheet pan will make it even crispier.

2While the crust is pre-baking, add the crushed tomatoes and salt into a food processor and pulse 2-3 times to combine into more of a sauce.

3Remove the crust from the oven. Spoon the marinara sauce onto the pre-baked crust. Then follow with slices of burrata or mozzarella (whichever you are using). Finish by adding the pieces of prosciutto.

4Place the pizza with the toppings back into the oven (still at 450 degrees F) on a middle rack, and bake for two minutes so that the cheese begins to melt. Quickly turn on the broiler and broil for 4-5 minutes. Make sure the pizza is not placed on the upper 1/3 of the oven or else it will quickly burn. The middle rack is best.

5Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh basil.

6For the hot honey (optional): place a small saucepan over low heat. Add the honey and slowly swirl, making sure it does not burn. Add the red pepper flakes and cook on low for 1-2 minutes. You want the red pepper flakes to infuse the liquid honey. Remove from the heat and place in a small bowl with a spoon. You can drizzle the hot honey over the entire pizza, or let your guests drizzle onto individual slices!
