Main Ingredients

4 boxes white rice

chicken stock

shrimps

celery chopped

2 green bell pepper chopped

1 onion chopped

garlic chopped

parsley chopped

salt

pepper powder

paprika

cayenne

cajun seasoning

butter

olive oil

Preparation

1In a saucepan over fire, melt some butter and fry the vegetables chopped: Celery, green bell pepper, onion & garlic. Then add spices ( paprika, cayenne, oregano, basil, salt & pepper). After well mixed, add the white rice followed by the chicken stock. Then cover and let cook for 20-30 mins

2Mix the shrimps with cajun seasoning, then in a stove, heat olive oil and add the shrimps seasoned. Sear them then set aside.

3Using the same stove, heat some butter; add white wine, garlic chopped, lemon zest and juice. Then add the shrimps, toss in them to make all well mixed. Add some parsley on it.

4Serve the rice in a dish and on top add the shrimps. Enjoy!

Additional Notes

Pay attention to the quantity of chicken stock added to do not make rice porridge.

Cajun seasoning is a mixture of different spices such as:

  • ground cumin
  • ground coriander
  • paprika
  • salt
  • oregano
  • basil
  • thyme
  • white pepper
