Brown Sugar Pecan Snickerdoodles
Kick Snickerdoodles up a notch!

1 - 1/2 c sugar
1 c shortening
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 - 3/4 c flour
1/4 c finely chopped pecans
1/4 c dark brown sugar
2 tsp cinnmon
1Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2Cream shortening and sugar together until creamy.
3Add the eggs and blend well.
4Add the dry ingredients and mix into a soft dough.
5Mix together the pecan/brown sugar mixture
6Form into balls the size of a walnut and roll in the pecan mixture, pressing slightly to pick up the bits of pecan.
7Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
