Main Ingredients

2 c flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon

4 tb butter, softened

3/4 c sugar

1 egg

1/2 c buttermilk or milk

3 c blueberries

topping ingredients

4 tb butter, softened

1/2 c sugar

1/3 c flour

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg


1Heat oven to 375°F.

2Spray a 9x9 pan with nonstick cooking spray.

3In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.

4In a small bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.

5Add in the egg and mix well.

6Mix in the buttermilk.

7Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well, but gently.

8Fold the blueberries into the cake batter.

9Gently press the cake mixture into the pan. Set aside.

10In a small bowl, mix the topping ingredients together to form a crumbly mixture, almost like the consistency of wet sand.

11Sprinkle over the cake.

12Bake 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean .
