Blackberry & Cherry Chia Jam

In a large soup pot, add in blackberries through lemon juice and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in chia seeds. As jam cools, the chia seeds will plump and thicken the jam mixture. Pour into a glass container and store in fridge. Serve over toast, crackers, yogurt, waffles, rice cakes or even straight out of the ja. . .

Main Ingredients

1 1/4 cup marion blackberries

1/4 cup dark sweet cherries

1/4 cup water

1 tbsp raw honey

1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 tsp chia seeds

Preparation

1In a large soup pot, add in blackberries through lemon juice and bring to a boil.

2Lower the heat to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3Remove from heat and stir in chia seeds.

4As jam cools, the chia seeds will plump and thicken the jam mixture.

5Pour into a glass container and store in fridge. Serve over toast, crackers, yogurt, waffles, rice cakes or even straight out of the jar.

6This jam can last for up to 3 weeks in the fridge, but mine only lasted 3 days!!
