Main Ingredients

3 (16 oz) cans of black beans, drained and rinsed.

1 green pepper, roughly chopped.

1 onion, roughly chopped.

3 cloves of garlic.

1/4 cup water.

3 tbsp chili or chipolte powder.

salt and pepper to taste.

3 tsp hot sauce

1 1/2 cups bread crumbs


1In a mixer equipped with a paddle, start mixing beans around so they start to mash up (If you're doing a smaller batch you can also just mash them with a fork)

2Put green pepper, onion, and garlic into a food processor, pulse until fine and mixed together.

3Combine vegetables, water, spices, hot sauce and bread crumbs with the beans and continue to mix until the mixture binds all together.

4Divide into patties (this recipe makes about 16)

5Preheat a grill or BBQ (USE TINFOIL) to medium heat.

6Place patties in grill and cook each side for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked.

7Serve like your favorite burger!
