Main Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil

1 large yellow onion

3 cloves of garlic, minced

3 large green onion, chopped

4 celery ribs, chopped

1 t italian parsley, chopped

1 lb ground turkey or ground beef

1 lb italian sausage

1 6 oz. can of tomato paste

1 15 oz. can of tomato sauce

1 can diced tomatoes

4 cups of water

4 t chili powder

1 1/4 t salt


1 t sugar

1 can chili beans

1 can kidney beans


1Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil into pot on medium heat.

2Finely chop onion, parsley, celery, garlic in food processor and add into the pot. Simmer until softened.

3Add in Ground turkey/or beef and Italian Sausage. Brown the Meat and drain.

4Drain into a cup so you can add some of the grease back into pot.

5Pour mixture back into the pot adding 4 T of the grease.

6Add in tomato paste, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes. Stir.

7Add in the water, beans, chili powder, salt, pepper, and sugar (or agave nectar). Stir Well.

8Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and let simmer for an hour.
