Bbq Spiced Walnuts

1/4 cup melted ghee
5 cups walnut halves/pieces
1 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp light brown sugar
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1Pre-measure all of your sugar and spices and combine in a small bowl; set aside.
2Add your walnuts to a gallon Ziploc bag or bowl with a sealable lid and set aside.
3Melt 1/4 cup of ghee on medium heat in a small sauce pan.
4Add your spices to the melted ghee, whisking to combine. Let the mixture bubble just a little to caramelize the sugars.
5Add your spice glaze to your bag or bowl, and seal the lid or bag. Shake to coat the walnuts evenly. Shake a LOT just to be sure it’s well combined. You could store the walnuts in the bag or bowl you mixed everything in as long as it’s well-sealing.
