Main Ingredients

8 lb pork butt

1 tbsp dry mustard

2 tsp water

1/4 cup salt

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp garlic

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup water

1Cut off the excess fat on your pork but until it is no more than a 1/4 inch thick.

2Mix together mustard and 2 tsp water to form a dry paste.

3Rub mustard paste all over pork.

4Mix together your seasonings to make a dry rub.

5Rub seasoning mix all over your pork.

6Mix together vinegar and water.

7Inject mix into your pork. The meat will bulge out but that is okay.

8Put meat into 6 qt crock pot. Pour a small amount of apple cider vinegar (1/2 cup) around the pork.

9Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

10Allow pork to cool for at least 1/2 an hour.

11Shred pork with hands or fork.

12Place shredded pork in a shallow pan and pour a small amount of the liquid in the crock pot over the top to keep the meat moist.

Additional Notes

You can use a bread roll for sandwiches. Top with meat and your favorite bbq sauce. Use any additional favorite toppings!
