You know those morning that you are craving pancakes but don't want to feel the heaviness of them in your belly afterwards? These pancakes are for those mornings.

1 Ripe banana
3 tablespoons egg whites
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 teaspoon grass - fed, unsalted butter
Dash of cinnamon
pinch of salt
1In a medium bowl, mash banana with a fork.
2Add egg and egg whites. Whisk until mixed thoroughly (batter will be chunky).
3Add vanilla, baking powder, protein power, cinnamon and salt.
4Add butter to a non-stick skillet and heat over medium-high heat until the butter is hot.
5Pour your batter in to your pan.
6Cook 4-5 minutes on one side, until the pancake is golden brown.
7Using a thin spatula, flip and cook another 3-4 minutes.
*Those over-ripe bananas that have been sitting in your freezer for months are perfect for this recipe. They are so sweet that you don't even need Maple Syrup.
**Butter! Yes there is butter in this recipe. Grass-fed butter is much healthier than regular butter, much higher in Omega-3 fatty acids and is actually heart-healthy!
