1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs 1/4 cup white sugar
4 cups flour
1 tbsp active yeast
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1Step 1. Pour first 7 ingredients into bread machine. Place on dough setting
2Step 2. When cycle is complete take dough out and place on floured surface. Knead the dough by hand several times.
3Step 3. Roll the dough out in a rectangular shape to about 1 cm thickness. You want to dough quite thin for the next step to work well.
4Step 4. Gather the ingredients for the filling. Melt the butter and spread out evenly on the surface of the dough. I use my pastry brush to make this simpler.
5Step 5. Spread the brown sugar over the butter making sure to cover all the surface area of the dough. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon.
6Step 6. Starting with the dough closest to you begin to roll up the dough. You want to roll it up log style as uniformly as possible.
7Step 7. Once the dough is rolled up place the ingredients for the topping in a microwave safe bowl.
8Step 8. Microwave for about 30 seconds. Take out and stir. Repeat until butter is melted. Mix well
9Step 9. This recipe will make 2 9x13 pans. Spread the topping mixture evenly over the bottom of each pan.
10Step 10. Slice the dough into 1.5 inch sections and place down into the pan. Press firmly into the syrup topping. Each pan will hold 12 buns.
11Step 11. Place in a warm area and allow to rise for approx. 1 hour.
12Step 12. Preheat oven to 350 F.
13Step 13. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
14Step 14. While the buns are baking spread two sheets of tinfoil out on the counter and place cooling racks on top the tinfoil. This allows for easier clean up!
15Step 15. When the buns are done in the oven loosen the edge of the buns from the pan with a sharp knife. Let sit 10 minutes.
16Step 16. Turn out onto cooling racks. As the buns cool some of the syrup will drip off onto the tinfoil. Use a spoon and scoop it back up onto the buns so you don't waste any of the yummy, sticky goodness!
