Apple-cheddar-sausage Cinnamon Rolls

This is a recipe I made up because I wanted to get creative with Cinnamon Rolls! I thought that adding apples, cheddar and sausage to the middle of a cinnamon roll would taste delicious! I love that sweet and savory combo. For this recipe I used Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls.

Main Ingredients

5 apples thinly sliced for easy rolling

4 cups shredded white or yellow sharp cheddar cheese

2 cups cooked, ground sausage

2 cans pillsbury grands cinnamon rolls

1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

2Grease two round cake pans, or any baking dish.

3Open both cans of cinnamon roll dough.

4Without separating the rolls at the pre-made cut lines -- unroll each as one big roll.

5Fill the unrolled dough with sliced apples, 2 cups of cheddar and sausage. Save remaining 2 cups of cheese for topping later.

6Gently re-roll the dough, making sure contents do not spill out.

7Using a knife, gently cut through the pre-cut lines and place individual rolls in the greased pans or pan.

8Place in oven and bake for about 10 minutes.

9After 10 minutes, top the rolls with the remaining shredded cheese and place back in oven for 10 - 15 more minutes or until cheese is melty on top and rolls are light brown.

10Remove from oven, cool for a few minutes and serve!
