Anyway You Like It Granola

Preheat oven to 325F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease. Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Start with 3 cups of oats, but then get creative with the remaining ingredients. To have the right consistency, you'll want to make sure you have 3 total cups of other grains, so you can mix 3 different grains at 1 cup each, or choose one additional grain and add 3 cups . . .

Main Ingredients

base ingredients:

3 cups oatmeal

3 cups of other grains of choice: (bulgar wheat, spelt oats, buckwheat, groats, etc. )

1/4 cup of seeds (flax, chia, pepita, sunflower, etc. )

1/2 cup dried fruit: (cranberries, raisins, blueberries, cherries, etc. )

2/3 cup nut butter of choice (peanut, almond, cashew, sunflower, etc. )

2/3 cup all natural maple syrup

Preparation

1Preheat oven to 325F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease.

2Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Start with 3 cups of oats, but then get creative with the remaining ingredients. To have the right consistency, you'll want to make sure you have 3 total cups of other grains, so you can mix 3 different grains at 1 cup each, or choose one additional grain and add 3 cups of that one additional grain. Its very hard to mess this up so get creative and try new grains from your local grocery bulk section!

3In a microwave safe dish, heat nut butter for 30 seconds-1 minute to soften. Stir into the dry ingredients with the maple syrup. I'd recommend using a spatula because it will be pretty sticky. Continue until all nut butter is thoroughly mixed. Some small clumps will begin to form which is good.

4Spread a thin layer on each baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes. Stir halfway through to prevent burning.

5Let cool completely and store in an airtight container or ziplock bag for up to a month.
