3 Winks Family Favorite Pecan Pie
My tried and true recipe for pecan pie. I love the delicious custard formed in this pie, topped with they layer of crunchy pecans. This is a family favorite!

5 eggs 1 c. sugar
2 dashes of salt
1 1/2 c. corn syrup
1 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. pecan halves.
1In a mixing bowl, beat 5 eggs with 1 c. sugar, two dashes of salt, 1 1/2 c. corn syrup
2(dark or light works, whatever you have), and 1 c. melted butter. Add 1 1/2 c.
3pecan halves. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
4Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 min. Or until a knife inserted halfway
5between the center and the edge comes out cleanly. Check it periodically
6because oven temperatures vary. Let cool and serve with whipped cream.
