My favorite milk for this recipe is Milkadamia unsweetened vanilla milk made from macadamia nuts, but any creamy plant based milk will work. For a pourable sauce, use 1 cup of milk, or for a thicker stickier caramel, use 1/2 a cup. For variation, add a teaspoon of cinnamon or vanilla extract.
